• Description: This book explains how trolls were not always mindless brutes. In fact, it appears that they had originally studied magic and used kith silk to make cloth. The author of this book, presumably the last civilised troll, awakens from a "sleeping disease" after a long time (similiar to Demolition Man) to find that everything has changed. The trolls have degenerated to rag-wearing cave-dwellers who eat human children. The author rescues a human child and intends to take her back to the human city. Honor Lost by Meltzars the Troll The state of my people leaves me distraught. Even the name Troll is an insult humans hurl at each other, while in my time the name Troll was noble and respected. What factors led my people down this path of twisted barbarism I will endeavour to discover.

Since I was laid low by the sleeping disease contracted in my studies of the arcane, there were no efforts to revive me, and now I see why. All trolls with any mystic skills are gone!
